  13. I have the following problem :

  15. I have a GVP HC8+ Series II Hardcard in my 2000, with a 120MB Maxtor
  16. attached. I also have a ZIP-drive.

  18. I can not get my controller to work when there are both internal (the
  19. Maxtor) and external (the ZIP-drive) devices attached. I have had the
  20. controller checked out by a local Amiga-dealer. They were able to
  21. confirm the controller is at fault, and the problem is also present
  22. with other external devices. However, they were unable to provide a
  23. solution. Both devices work fine, as long as they are the only one
  24. connected.

  26. - I have tried the ZIP with termination both on and off
  27.  
  28. - I have checked the Maxtor and the controller for terminator packs,
  29. but did not find any. Maybe I just did not recognise them. Where are
  30. they supposed to be located on the Series II?

  32. - If both are connected, I can boot from either floppy or Zip-drive,
  33. *NOT* from Harddisk. Also, after boot, the first access of the
  34. harddisk 'hangs' the machine.

  37. Are there others who have had the same problem?
  38. Can anybody recommend where I can have this problem fixed? (preferably
  39. in Belgium, or at least Europe)
